  1. guess I'm missing what the tell tale signs of fakeness are, can someone enlighten me? The most obvious to my untrained eye is the fretboard. No way that's ebony. Looks like rosewood.
  2. not the same, the fake gems are better than the real ones :ok
  3. I've done this many times with fake Ibanez Jems.
  4. I go to ebay....sanborn for tubes. I get the best deals especially on SED tubes! Great service as well. I believe he builds Sanborn amps Got a link bro?
  5. I'd like to know more about the Tube Store as well. How's their customer service and tube matching/testing?
  6. Looks like I'm gonna give Valve Queen a go. Tube Depot doesn't have any of my fave tubes.
  7. The Sino EL34B that Tube Depot sells, is that the same as the Ruby EL34BSTR? And their Sino 12AX7A, is that the same as the 9th Gen Chinese pre tubes? I'd like to give Tube Depot a go but they don't seem to have my favorite go-to tubes.
  8. That's what I originally bought it for, but its quickly become a nice grab and go combo for practices and smaller gigs. The 40-watt one is looking mighty tempting right about now
  9. I'd love to have one of them Mustangs just for low volume, night time jamming
  10. IM guessing thats a good thing Or maybe it means that you have to piss in it before down tuning your guitar
  11. Very loud, cuts through extremely well and has plenty of gain. Agreed. Btw, not to derail this thread but have you got your Ironheart yet?
  12. What kinda tone are you looking for? Low-gain? High-gain?
  13. I want to have amazing buttsecks with the last person to post in this thread. Don't tease me
  14. The Stiletto's are Mesa's answer to the Marshall sound. It has more of a bite than the Recto and less low end thump. IMO I think the Stiletto would suit older Metallica tones better than a Recto
