  1. I have a '68 Blackface Dual Showman. It's 80 watts into 4 ohms. If I play thru 8 ohms it significantly lower in volume. Still loud but I can sit next to it. Actually even thru 4 ohms it's not as loud as my 50 watt Marshall DSL. I can dime it and it overdrives nice, if that's the sound you're into. Very vintage sounding, takes pedals nicely.
  2. I have the same PRS, mine is a dark green flame top but not top 10, same birds and bridge. I traded a Gibson 335 that although a beautiful guitar, I never really played much. I play the PRS a lot. It sounds like an ok trade, just about even. You do know you'll miss the strat and eventually sooner than later be gettting a replacement. Otherwise enjoy the PRS. The rotary pickup selector takes a while to get use to.
  3. You can buy a scalloped neck from Warmoth for about $250 - $300 and it can tell you they are quality necks. Stick it on the strat of your choice and your there for the mere fraction of an Fender YJM strat. Beware of buying home made scalloped necks. I actually did a half scallop on a Warmoth myself which came out very nice but it did have problems later on with some frets raising up. A factory scallop is done before the frets are put on. BTY, I own a YJM signature as well as my Warmoth 1/2 scallop.....love them!
  4. I just happen to have an OLD Carvin 4 x 12 for sale (at least 20 yrs, maybe more, little use on it) and I live on Long Island. $175 cash & carry. PM me if interested. I'm also selling a SONIC 2 x 12 (cheap).
