  1. Cool! I used to own one of those 'NU-FUZZ' pedals... sweet
  2. This {censored} is amazing! I love that shelf...
  3. The molded plastic fender cases that are shaped like strats hold teles as well... I used to own one & could put either type of guitar in it...
  4. I love the way my 60s tribute sounds, but I miss the weight if my '98 standard when I'm playing it. But, I love heavy guitars. The heavier the better... I bought the 60s tribute because it's the most affordable gibson les paul that is equipped w/ P90s & has a gold top finish...
  5. In this economy you're lucky anything is selling. THIS. I'm getting low-balled like crazy on craigslist...
  6. prison tats are free! Not quite true; you forgot about the token 'reacharound', LOL...
  7. only freaks, weirdos and lowlifes get tattooed. take a shower and get a haircut. LOL
  8. When I went hunting for a jaguar (4 years ago or so) I tried everything I could get my hands for about 6 months. I was mostly aiming for vintage, but I couldn't find one that I bonded with. Most of the MIA stuff didn't feel great either. Then one day I stopped in GC for strings and this mid 90's MIJ was hanging there. It was just magic, it was the one. The pickups are crap for sure, but it just felt right. I put some duncans in but I may move to lollars or novaks. I would just try them till you find one you like. I didn't even plug this one (that the thread's about) into an amp; it just rang out in the middle of the GC w/ all the other noise going on... I never shoulda grabbed it. I'm not worthy! I'm not worthy! LOL
  9. Ah, ok, hey, thanks for all your opinions on this stuff; I know this has been asked a ton, but the people in this forum seem to dig these guitars the most. I've been wanting one for a long time, as was just going to 'settle' (for lack of a better term) on an MIJ because I dig them (I own an '84 MIJ fender strat, as well as 3 mij 80's fender basses) & of course the money is always an issue. I agree that the store is asking too much for that used one, when they are like $1700 new. I should've never taken her down off the wall & played her, LOL; it felt so much nicer than my strat for some reason. It felt really 'snappy', if that makes any sence. I've dug MIJ fenders for years, and will prob just get a used one somewhere, but man, I really wanted that guitar bad! LOL Matt P.S. - Hey Drasp, i hear you on the TOM, I saw one locally for sale w/ one on it, & I'm sure it played just fine, it just didn't 'look' right to me...
  10. ^^^ Thats what I thought too; but they said they are like $2000 new? The MIA re-issues???
  11. I totally dug the way that the american '62 re-issue was set up; Those calssic players are cool, & they have their place for sure. I want one of those as well, ha ha. Man, I'm never gonna get my ass out of debt at this rate...
  12. Ok, yeah, the alder (as well as the nitro) makes a big difference, thus the asking price. I own an '84 mij strat that's basswood, so I know what your saying about the mijs, as far as the wood goes (not quite the same). Man, that thing felt good! I want it bad. Maybe I'll go there when they open tomorrow. It's been there for over a month, so I know it's a bit steep; you'd think they would've made me a deal...
  13. Ok, I played a used '09 mia fender '62 reissue jaguar today (used, but 'like new' condish) & it was the {censored}; they won't budge at $1300 + tax. They say I can bring in trade bait for the difference as well as a special 15% off, getting it down to where I was hoping for (like a grand or a bit less). It comes w/ the vintage style tolex case we all jizz over. Now, I just saw a bunch of the MIJ ones they made last year on ebay for like $600 all day long, probably no case though. Is there that much of a difference in these things? Will I be satisfied with the japanese version? I never do posts like this (because obviously no one will really know but me, LOL), but I just thought I'd get some input form you guys that already own them... no, I am not drunk, LOL...
