  1. Haha, thread excavated. Outstanding, gentlemen. Hopefully Mazi will see this and give y'all your stripes. However, he is often out on maneuvers. In the meantime, ROCK on! BK Kommandant, Punk Rock Expeditionary Force, MBM Mazi has been out on maneuvers for a very long time. Newbuilder's photos speak volume knobs about laying down the notes! Sign him up!
  2. Gary said that he had a live DVD coming out soon too. That should be pretty good, AFAIK it's been in the works since last year. The word at the time was that he had a show recorded somewhere in New Jersey. I kinda wondered about that, 'cause he did a show up at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom around that time. The Casino would have been full of hometown vibe, being under an hour away from home.
  3. Summertime report from the New England chapter.... Gary Hoey was definitely rockin' the joint! A small crowd of mebbe 100 fans joined the MBM in welcoming the guy back home. These shots were taken stage right, most under 15 feet away. Got a couple heavy picks at the meet & greet after the show too. How often do you get to sail the same groove? Go forth and pray at your local temples of rock!!
  4. I have served well, I am bothering the neighbors with random acts of hi intensity/hi velocity classic rock rifffs interpeted in my own fashion:thu: I am doing the same, with perhaps a bit less velocity. That being said, my power chords raise the bar a couple semitones. Any chance of getting a promotion in this outfit? I refuse to promote myself simply because while I suck at playing, I rock hard at any venue I happen to be in. It really DOES matter where your head is at.
  5. This morning I am off to the Topsfield MA fair with the other half. The fair promises to have many different genres of live stuff playing all day. While we enjoy most kinds of music, we are going specifically to get a dose of Southern Fried Boogie. 38 Special is doing a couple shows, and we are going to show them how the New England chapter of the Militia rocks out. The goal is to go nuts and be drained. Best of all, the shows are FREE !!!!!! How in the hell can you beat that? With any luck I'll have some good pictures that I'll post up.
  6. All prospective members at the very least should post an oath of Rockitude to the Militia. Higher credentials insure a higher possible entrance rank. ROCK ON!!!! parrotheada1a Pragmatic administrator, New England Chapter, MBM
  7. I'll join. Any perks I should be on the lookout to come? The true perks come from within. Rockers are born that way. Not made, manufactured, or pushed by some TV show. You gotta have some talent, a love for music, a hunger to get better at playing, and a {censored}load of attitude. Even if you never make it to a stage, you head is where it needs to be. ROCK ON!!!! parrotheada1a Pragmatic administrator, New England Chapter, MBM
  8. I want in. Maybe Mazi can teach me how to take awesome pics. Credentials please. You must state how you intend to rock the masses.
  9. This month's batch of recruits look to be fine prospects. Let's make sure they bring their gear to boot camp.
  10. Outstanding P-Head! Well said all round! BK Kommandant, Punk Rock Expeditionary Force Mazi Bee Militia Thank you sir. Just doing my job, keeping New England free of musical sludge.
  11. FELLOW MILITIAMEN, my brothers and sisters! TAKE NOTE! WHEN your BELIEF is TRUE, your ROCKITUDE will be EVIDENT and allow you to CHAT UP potential target persons AT WILL! ROCKITUDINOUSITY can imbue YOUR VERY BEING with a LIFE FORCE ENERGY belying advancing years, or CONVERSELY, make you appear WISE and KNOWING if you are in fact a callow youth! OUTSTANDING, P-Head! Commendations and salutations to you! Over and out, BK Kommandant, Punk Rock Expeditionary Force Mazi Bee Militia Thank you indeed brother Krashpad. I should also like to point out a couple of other minor pointers for our students of Rock. Rocking out means arriving in time for the opening act and giving them a shot. You are a {censored}ing hippocrite if you say a band sucks without listening to them. If they do suck, then don't applaude their performance or buy the cheap CD. Intro yourself to the best performer out of the band and say you enjoyed what they did. If they rock, and have some potential show 'em some love. Noobs in the biz need that, and they will get better. Second, and most importantly, ALWAYS show some love for the bartenders and waitstaff. Sliding some extra cash toward a bartender usually means extra potent drinks. To the waitress/ waiter it usually means faster service. Above all, while rocking hard... be safe. Get a damn cab if you need one. I may save your life.
  12. And, despite being a month from hitting the big FOUR-NINE, I was somehow CARDED buying beer. What's UP with that anyhow? Your pledge to help SAVE ROCK AND ROLL is provisionally ACCEPTED! Mazi will be by with your STRIPES! BK Kommandant, Punk Rock Expeditionary Force Mazi Bee Militia I am hitting the four seven next week, and I got carded late last year while attending a Gary Hoey show. She thought I was about 30. No word of a lie, the hot looking bartender says to me, ''I've been watching YOU. Most of the guys come in here and play air guitar. You come in here, put your hand on Gary's monitor and get the place jumping. It's like you are almost praying.'' I said to her, ''What the hell did you expect? It's not often that someone like Gary Hoey lets you stand 5 feet in front of them and sail the same groove they are playing. Try doing that at an arena or a stadium show. It ain't gonna happen even if you are paying huge bucks.''
  13. This silly tune became my country's "song" of the year Rock n' Roll is in such an abysmal state and the bleeding has to stop! Accept my allegiance and my guitars and I are at your disposal! Jeez.......I couldn't watch more than 30 seconds or so.......
  14. As of today 01 03 07, I hereby pledge to rock out as best as I can, always kick ass in the name of rock, and keep New England free of musical sludge. I also pledge to have the bartenders suitably attired, and a stage worthy of rock legends.
