  • Recording booth question

    Hi,

I've got a few questions. I'm building a recording booth to record drums, bass, guitar, vocals,... and i would like to use acoustic foam. Do you guys think that it is appropriate to use the foam against all the walls, including the ceiling? And to use carpet on the floor? Or should I leave a few walls plain?
Please help me on this one.
sorry for the poor english, I'm belgian you know....

    thanx

Florre, I am heading out for a while but there is a lot of good info on acoustic/sound treatment posted already. Use the Search feature and you will have hours of reading on how to treat your room. My advice is that if you do it right it will cost you, whether the cost be in dollars, time, or failed attempts. You are doing the right thing by researching it and making a plan, but depending on where you are in the build, it may be a little late to turn back.
