  • Programming Groove Agent in Cubase

I am new to Cubase and Groove Agent. I get the basics of creating and recording midi drum tracks using Groove Agent's pre-loaded drum patterns, but believe there is a way to program more creative and flexible drum parts using midi.

Can anyone explain how to do this?

I am a guitar player who can hack around on a real drum kit, but no more than that. And as I said, I am a noob when it comes to digital recording.

    Many thanks in advance!

While I dont believe you can program GA directly, there are 2 basic ways that I am aware of.

One would be to open the MIDI editor in Cubase (In drum view) and edit the notes in. This would be time consuming but there are tools in the editor to help out.

Another way would be to download midi drum loops from the net (groovemoney? or other) and import them and arrange them in Cubase.
