  • Recording With Pod XT

My wife just purchased me a Pod XT for xmas. Sweet.

I had previously recorded demos with my guitar, marshall amp, drum loops via acid, and my guitar tracks pro software.

I notice that Line 6 is pushing Rifftracker software along with Instant Drummer. Would buying these two make sense? And replace my guitartracks pro software?

Or does it make a difference?

Having everything on one platform (Line 6) sounds appealing but I don't want to go through the aggravation or cost if it doesn't make sense.

    Bump

    Anyone?

Recorded from the PODxt to Guitartracks Pro last night. Sound not so great.

Anyone recording with PODxt and Rifftracker/InstantDrummer?

    Thanks.

I have a pod xt pro, and it is the best piece of kit I own. It's not perfect (what is?), but it sounds great and is ideal for home recording. I run it through Cubase and I have no problems.

Are you running yours through any sort of interface?

I'm running my Podxt right into my computer via USB.

From there, I have Cakewalk Guitartracks Pro as my recording software.

I'd love to find a solution that allowed me to record and included drum tracks. It's kind of annoying to keep importing drum loops via CD into Guitartracks. I'm wondering if Line 6's Rifftracker and Instant Drummer is an improvement and worth the extra dough.
