  • Zoom H4n - How to transfer a song into garageband/itunes

Hi folks...I just brought a Zoom H4n and the manual does not have any info on how to take a song file and import it into a computer (mac). Please help! Thanks.

I have signed these out at school.

      First:

The memory card won't mount through the usb connection without the latest firmware. You need a PC for this unfortunately . It's an easy process that is explained here:

      http://www.zoom.co.jp/english/download/software/h4.php

Once you have the latest firmware, it's in a directory on the memory card. You just drag the files in. They are NOT labeled well, so you have to audition each one unless you were good about getting rid of files you didn't want on the unit itself (I found that easier).

Once you have them on your computer you just file:import them into your DAW (garageband or whatever).

Let me know if you need more explanation and I will help.

^^ He was asking about the new version of the H4, but I think your instructions are still probably correct.

Good point, but yeah I'm willing to bet the idea is the same.
