  • clip: Addictive Drums vs. Slate Drums

    Hi,

I got Slate Drums Platinum yesterday. I have been using Addictive Drums mostly before, and now I made two mixes of a tune of mine to compare the both.

    Here's the Slate Drums version:

And here's the Addictive Drums version:

I have to say I have difficulties saying which I like more, so I'd appreciate some opinions.
I think I like Addictive Drums a bit better, but Slate also sounds good to me.
    What do you guys think?

    Lars

The sound of the Addictive Drums suits the style of music better. That's just my personal opinion tho

Can you not use the same samples in both programs?

    Nice mix!

      Thank you !

No, the samples come with the program and can only be used in that particular program.

        Both sound really good!

I personally prefer the Slate clip as it sounds more natural, especially on the bits where it s just drums. Addictive drums sound more processed and clicky, which might be better for metal, but I still prefer the more "organic" sound of the slate drums.

        Well done!!

I think the AD suits the song better; doesnt get lost in the mix, better definition.

Thanks, I think I myself also like the AD mix better on this tune.
