With Photos- soundboard little swollen and fretboard is difficult to play barcodes.

Hi to all respected frnds. Dear all I've yamaha f340 which i bought from an unknown person. It is 4 years old. I noticed that it's soundboard is swollen and fretboard is also swollen at G string. Please help me i cant afford any dehumidifier if it is humidity. I put linseed oil on it's fretboard. Help me please. Bridge is also little pulled up. Pics are attached. Help me please. I lives in Lahore Punjab Pakistan. Humidity in day is 30-50 outside In night 70-100 outside. Help me. I just recently sanded the saddle for lower the action I posted before without pics.

Aebi, I'm sorry about the condition of your guitar (and frankly I can't tell much from the pictures, I would really need the guitar in my shop to tell exactly what is needed), but several of us have responded to your other posts. I gave you a very good link to Larrivee guitar's great article on humidity and every one of us has told you it needs to be brought back to the humidity that it was designed for and built at - 40 to 45%. After it has stabilized at 40% for a long period of time (maybe a month, maybe longer) then you can have the structural issues dealt with. The use of some sort of desiccant has been recommended - the best are silicon packages but several home brew ideas have also been suggested.

 

If you live in an environment where you have no control over high humidity you have two choices - either buy a guitar built in a similar environment (Vietnam might be a good choice) or buy a guitar made out of materials that are not affected by high humidity (carbon fiber)

 

Linseed oil won't help and you can sand the saddle all you want but you really need to (1) de-humidify it and (2) fix the bridge and anything else. Sorry
