Nope. Never heard of it but I don't stay current on any of the makes/models anymore. There used to be some kind of bridge fitment years ago comprising of springs that produced the reverb-like effect but it sounded robotic and metallic, i.e., cheesy.

So...pretty cool. Maybe this forum has some life after all. I mean, it focking MADE me search for something that turned out to be sorta decent.

Now we can talk about other guitars that do somewhat the same thing? How bout it boys and girls? Let us enlighten each other..

One of these perhaps? https://www.aspri.com/.

Neal: I'm not aware of any other guitars similar to the Yamaha. Seems like a niche product?

Has anyone played or heard this guitar? It has a built in actuator in the base of the guitar and vibrates when the strings are played and it adds a reverb affect. There are no wires or electronics.

No, but I will gladly heck one out when I get a chance.

One has to wonder how this idea came into being. I suspect that someone, in the acoustic geetar division of the company that makes more pianos than anyone else on Earth, had an epiphany one day whilst staring at one of these things pictured below.

Just a hunch. smiley-wink
