Members Christhee68 Posted October 20, 2014 Members Share Posted October 20, 2014 I used to frequent this forum quite a bit a couple of years ago, but it seemed like there were a lot of changes and glitches and technical issues so I stayed away for a while. Had job changes, etc. and started playing my Telecaster a bunch. Anyway, to get to the point, I have been scouring Craigslist and ebay for quite a while looking for a new (to me) Taylor. I was looking for either a 314ce, 414ce,316ce, or 416ce. After several near-misses, I finally scored on a "new used" (or is it "used new"?) 314ce on ebay under a "make offer" deal. Apparently the guy owned several guitars and was selling it because he was getting divorced. I went back and forth a couple of times with offers and counter offers and we finally came to an agreement. It's a 2013 314ce and it's basically brand new--plastic still on the pick guard, no play wear of any sort, all case candy, etc. I think the only reason it didn't get more interest on ebay was because the pictures on the listing were not that good. Members Christhee68 Posted August 4, 2015 Author Members Share Posted August 4, 2015 Just to follow up, I've been playing the Taylor at a bunch of solo gigs, and I've also formed a country-rock cover band and play it at gigs around the area. I play about 60% of the songs on the Taylor, and the rest on my Tele. I'm having a lot of fun. Maybe I will go into more detail on the "Band Wagon" section. I haven't been there in quite a while.
