Members Srepmohc
Just bought a Vintage Southerner (slope-shoulder Gibson style) and I'm loving it. Anyone else play one of these? So light and responsive! I can't believe I own this thing!!!
Members Freeman Keller
SCGC makes some of the finest guitars today. I played one of their little mahogany 1939 tributes and was blown away - so much so that I had to build one for myself. Sometimes forumite Eric Skye plays a Santa Cruz - you are in good company. How about some pictures and a clip?
Members DeepEnd
. . . forumite Eric Skye plays a Santa Cruz - you are in good company. . . . I thought of Eric when I saw this thread. IIRC, his SCGC is his own signature model. But he hasn't been around in ages. Shame since he's a great guitarist. Members sdelsolray
SCGC is an excellent example of a small shop building a variety of great acoustic guitars. I currently have two, a stock FS and a stock OOO 1929, each a bit off the beaten path of SCGC's bread and butter models (e.g., dreadnaughts and OMs). Their build quality is impeccable, the materials used are superb and their designs and execution are world class. For my uses (solo fingerstyle, flesh and nail), the sonics and behavior are about as good as it gets.
Members Idunno
Played a couple and thought enough to put a build deposit on one until a Goodall changed my mind. It was an easier name to say.
Members Silly Moustache
Hi Srepmohc - I'm a newbie here but last moth I got my first SC - an RS. I like it a lot but wouldn't describe it as you did yours, but then I also play a Collings.
Members Infinite Ego
I'm happy with my Martin but still lust over a SC. I've played a few and they always blow me away.
Members Tom Mc1
I went with Freeman when we tried the mahogany SC. We went through the Martins, Taylors, and Breedloves. These were all fantastic insturments but the SC was by far the best sounding guitar in the store.
