Members maxpardo27
Hello everybody, this is my first post here and i want to say i really need your help I went to this thrift shop in Mexico and i found this guitar, it says it's a silvertone. I don't really know how to identify true silvertone guitars, but i've been watching some pictues and it seems the same body shape but i'm not sure. I'm a big fan of Jack White & I also know silvertone guitars are frequently prized by collectors today, so if it's a real one i'll try to restore it. I attached two pictures, i hope you can help me. Thank You and i'm sorry for my bad english.
Members FrankenTelly
Certain Silvertone *electric* models are the most collectible and maybe some of the Silvertone archtop acoustics, but it all comes down to what condition that guitar is in. If it has stress cracks, the value goes down a lot. Cracks are usually repairable, but repaired cracks in the top and bracing are obvious to someone who knows what to look for. Members Etienne Rambert
Looks real. But it has been modified - a lot. Paint, tail-piece, pick-up, vibrato are likely not stock. I think that is an old guitar.
Members maxpardo27
Well, if it is a real one I'd be glad to look for all the original replacement parts, paint it back and fix the holes, i mean, it would be great to have this guitar at my home studio, don't you think?
