Members Michael Martin
Here's mine. A song I wrote, done by my band The Lawn Chairs. The song inspired by an illegal crossing into Mexico from Big Bend National Park while camping there a couple of years ago. Recorded "live" into two mikes/two tracks. Rio Grande (Follow Me Down) ©MDM MMXI Follow me down/follow me down Follow me all the way down to the river Follow me down/follow me down Follow me all the way down to the river Follow me down/follow me down Follow me all the way down to the Rio Grande Casa Grande sunrise Shadows in the valley below You know her she’s an early riser You know me I’m struck by stars Wake up smell the gourmet coffee Wake up taste the/crappucino Wonder of wonders/another day Another day in paradise/what can I say Another pot of gold in the land of enchantment Take it for granite/take it for rhyolite Rendezvous Mountain to the redneck sand Maco Sica/to the Rio Grande Follow the Bear into the canyon Mexican shadows/American sun Single file all of us gonna be reborn One at a time/one by one Much too late to turn back now South of the border/south of the Rio Grande
Members DeepEnd
One day last month when we were on vacation, we were in a small town IGA and I noticed that the man in front of us at the checkout was buying Alpo and whiskey. Afterward, I mentioned it to my wife and said, "There's a Country song there." Michael's VOM reminder was what I needed to go ahead and write it:http://www.tunescoop.com/play/323932343731/alpo_-mp3. Hope the link works for everyone.
Members Etienne Rambert
One year ago, on the Fourth of July, 2013, my friend and forumite Angelo Clematide passed away in his sleep. We collaborated on a few compositions. This is one of them. He composed the entire intro and played the Asian banjo part and percussion. I played guitar, synths and sang. [video=youtube;Cx0fAXleePA] He was the best I'll ever work with. Two days before he died, he Skyped me his recording of a waltz I composed. Members BlackHatHunter
I hope I'm not too late, but I did enjoy these back in the day... here's a song I wrote as a joke because the line "Your backside is your best side, I do believe" came to me. Members DeepEnd
Michael Martin - Enjoyed that one. Cool that it's based on a true story.Etienne Rambert - "Take It To The Man Upstairs" is moody and haunting. Not sure whether I know what it's about or not, kinda like "Hotel California." "The Fantômas Waltz" is simply lovely.garthman - I wasn't familiar with the original version so I listened to it and you did a fine job.g6120 - Well writtten and sung. Kinda has a John Denver vibe.BlackHatHunter - I remember that one. Nice to hear it again. Still like your playing.
