Members TRU
This is aimed mostly at folks who gig with the Para in venues with sound engineers, but any input may help. Do you find yourself making frequent and severe changes to your settings from gig to gig?Do you ask the sound man to set your guitar eq flat, this enabling you to control every bit of the hi-mid-lo? Members guitarcapo
No but I use mine with a soundboard transducer system like K&K and not piezo UST. I usually pipe this directly into a Roland AC60 amp. There's nothing going into a PA board or anything like that.
Members Pine Apple Slim
I use mine primarily with upright bass direct to the house. So mine is set to buffer the piezo and make the bass sound correct to me thru typical monitors and gets tweaked only in rare instances. Usually sound guy can just go with a flat eq to the front. Maybe take a bit of low end out if its too boomy.
Members guitarcapo
I've always liked the sound of soundboard transducers over UST pickups. Less of that spring-like rubber band sound that makes my teeth hurt listening to.
Members TRU
What is a "soundboard transducer?" In my scenario (I travel light), I would be entering a club with nothing more than one guitar, containing either a Fishman Rare Earth Single Coil or the Baggs Element (under saddle, no onboard except voume wheel). Both with nothing other than the Baggs Para and a Boss TU-2. Members panhandler
Soundboard Transducer...http://jjb-electronics.com/prestige-330.html I havent used my PARA in a while. Since I switched from PA to Acoustic amp exclusively. Back when I used it a lot, I did not find myself making frequent or severe changes. Subtle changes if any.
