Members Redsweater
Whats a good acoustic for someone who started on an electric and is fairly decent? Im not the richest person... I really only got around 150 left over from getting another electric, but i definitely want an acoustic that i can slap, tap, pop and play s&g on Agile? Cort? Seagull? Give up and go back to electric because everything under $X suck?

With $150 being your "ballpark", I'd suggest "used"...you get more bang-for-your-buck that way.Check out (in this order) Alvarez, Yamaha, Ibanez, Epiphone, other imports. Hit the local pawn shops, yard sales and fleamarkets. Look on Ebay (a few examples at the bottom of this message). Strive for a solid top, laminated B/S are not that big of a deal, particularily in this price range! As you've been playing a while, I'm sure you understand what sounds good to you, but structurally just make sure the bridge is not pulling up, the intonation is good and the action (which can be doctored, of course) works for ya!Good hunting! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2574059157&category=2385http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2574060263&category=2385#ebayphotohostinghttp://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2574035073&category=2385
Members Cortfan
For $150, I think Cort has the best value, but there are a lot of decent playable guitars out there. Fender DG-7 is about $125. I use one live, and leave my Martin at home, so I don't have to kill some drunk, if they fall into it.

X=approx. $350 There are decent acoustics for a beginner in the level you're looking at. If you aren't a beginner (which you probably aren't since you have multiple electrics), save more money. Wait until you can afford something decent (Garrisons, the new all solid Epiphones, etc.) to buy an acoustic. You'll thank yourself in the long run.
