Now...what if the bone came from a Bactrian camel :poke:? All joking aside, I don't think it would make a huge difference. Some people have trouble noticing the difference between a cheap plastic saddle and a high quality bone saddle, so switching around the kind of bone used is kind of like splitting hairs, IMO. Density isn't the only factor. Lead is dense but because it's relatively soft it absorbs vibrations rather than transmitting them. The ideal would probably be hard and dense.
