  • Will a camel bone saddle be all that better than cow bone?

The logic is since its denser it will transfer more vibration to the top, therefore getting more volume, sustain, and hopefully better tone. Anyone got any experience with camel bone saddles?

No experience but different materials will work differently on each guitar. One luthier said that camel bone brought out the wrong tonal qualities on one of his guitars.
For your information, I don't LIKE guitars, I LOVE them. And if I DON'T love them then I won't KEEP them!

Used to have one, but I didn't like how it raised the action on the D and G strings...

lol...took me a few seconds to get the joke, but that was clever !

Now...what if the bone came from a Bactrian camel oke:?

All joking aside, I don't think it would make a huge difference. Some people have trouble noticing the difference between a cheap plastic saddle and a high quality bone saddle, so switching around the kind of bone used is kind of like splitting hairs, IMO.

I don't think it makes that much difference in tone, if any at all.

For a more dramatic change, maybe try different BRIDGE PINS!!!

Or, when plugged in, a different CABLE!!!

Yeah, throw in a leather guitar strap and you have a real tone monster!

                      camel toes produce bones.
