Members Chordchunker
I want to change out a headstock decal on my reso guitar. Any ideas on the best, most low impact method for removing it? Thanks!
Members gitnoob
Isn't it under the finish? I would leave it alone, or just put a sticker on top of it.
Members Freeman Keller
If it is on top of the finish a little heat from a hair dryer should do the trick, you might have to use some naptha to clean up any glue. If it is under the finish use sandpaper which isn't exactly "low impact"

Members GuitarVlog
Chordchunker already took care of his problem. In case anyone is faced with a similar situation, two other options are 0000 steel wool and Micro Mesh.

Members knockwood
LMI and Stewmac have a nice selection of headstock veneers available. Seems like it'd be fairly simple to slap one on in the event that some kind of radical address like, ahem, sandpaper is required to deal with a fugly decal.
