Members OldGuitarPlayer
I have been using the Fishman NeoD for years and have never had a problem with it. It works great everytime and is quite sturdy and easy to install in 10 seconds. I also had the Dean Markley one and it's output was very weak and the cable is very flimsy. I hated it. The Fishman NeoD is also passive and like all passive pickups it doesn't give a great lot of signal output but still enough to use with any amp or PA system. It has good balance and tone between every string and is basically feedback prone. If you use any passive pickup I'd suggest you also use an outboard pre-amp/DI unit as well like the in-expensive Behringer ADI21 Acoustic Modeler seen here. http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/ADI21.aspx I have been using this combination of the Fishman NeoD and Behringer ADI21 for about 5-6 years now without a problem. In fact I will be using it this afternoon at the weekly open mic I host. Here is a sample of both the Fishman and the Behringer as I used them both on this recording. http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/3/1139314/boyswillbeboys.mp3 The acoustic guitar was a Sigma DM-2 direct to the mixing board using the Behringer ADI21. Members OldGuitarPlayer
Cheers mate, very helpful I love the song too... Good lyrics, The backing vocals are ace and I love the bass run downs Thanks man! I did not write that song. It's my own version of a song done by the Irish punk band called "The Undertones". I play all the guitars and provide all the backing vocals and the shaker thingy. Glad you found the info helpful too.
