Members paulzoom
I already have a mahogany Bedell parlour guitar that is worth almost $1000 but am afraid to take it to the park to play. Need a beater guitar that I won't fear getting banged up. Don't mind if it's a dreadnought and don't mind used. Are there any cheap brands that have a decent reputation? Members gitnoob
If you say where you are located, somebody here can probably find a few on your local craigslist. An old Harmony might do the trick:http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Harmony-H-362-H-162-Deluxe-Acoustic-Guitar-/130517344181?pt=Guitar&hash=item1e63709fb5#ht_4674wt_1139
Members jbviper4
I picked up a Fender CD series off CL for $100. Also, a buddy bought a low end Epi from MF for $99 and he is happy with it for sitting poolside and strumming tunes.

Members bluzboy
If you're looking for a used guitar, you can't go wrong with most old Yamahas. Just be sure to carefully check the neck angle.
Members Hudman
Pick up a used Yamaha FG700S - solid spruce top and nice tone. You can buy a new one for $199.
Members gitnoob
You can used jaxed to find some guitars near you. For example, here are all of the Yamaha FG700S's in the southeast:http://instrument.jaxed.com/cgi-bin/music.cgi?cat=msg&fil=fg700s&itm=&state=XSE&ps=&pe=&ys=&ye=&so=d&submit=+GO+

Members Freeman Keller
Old Yamie, red label is possible. FG-150, 160, 180..... Neck angle will be the deciding factor - if the angle and action are good, you've got a winner - if not, run.
Members guildfire
Used Yamaha F335. You can get them for less than $100 used. $149 new.
Members Terry Allan Hall
Yet another vote for an older Yamaha...lotta bang for your buck! These might suit you, as well, for a beater. http://savannah.craigslist.org/msg/2364784784.htmlhttp://savannah.craigslist.org/msg/2352108213.htmlhttp://savannah.craigslist.org/msg/2322961525.htmlhttp://savannah.craigslist.org/msg/2319594019.htmlhttp://savannah.craigslist.org/msg/2305501651.htmlhttp://savannah.craigslist.org/msg/2301954038.html
Members DeepEnd
Terry Allan Hall mentioned a couple of the guitars I found on your local CragsList but here they are anyway with a couple more:Applause $65 w/gig bag http://savannah.craigslist.org/msg/2364784784.html (if you can get used to the round back)Ibanez AW400 $170 w/gig bag http://savannah.craigslist.org/msg/2346255089.html (solid top, should be fairly nice; you should be able to get the seller down another $20)Yamaha FG 400 $100 w/chipboard case http://savannah.craigslist.org/msg/2340096085.htmlEpiphone DR-100 $55 w/gig bag http://savannah.craigslist.org/msg/2319594019.html (all laminated but the price is right)
Members seagullplayer77
A cheap Yamaha would be a good bet. Seagull, Art & Lutherie, and Simon & Patrick are all made by the same company and I've regularly seen cheap 'gulls and A&Ls go for around $150. Members DeepEnd
What does "all wood" mean? Probably as opposed to, for example, an Applause or X series Martin. You might recall that one of my suggestions as a used Applause.

Members OldGuitarPlayer
Now why would the OP want to do that when he/she can get a slightly used one for $55 with a gig bag? http://savannah.craigslist.org/msg/2319594019.html Probably as opposed to, for example, an Applause or X series Martin.
