Members gitnoob
Our local guitar shop proprietor is an enterprising sort of guy. The space next door to his shop is vacant, and he's trying to come up with a way to fill it that will generate at least $2K/month in revenue. His current idea is a hat store. I recommended a massage parlor. What would drive traffic to a guitar shop?
Members knockwood
Hat shop? Don't do it, man. I'd suggest some kind of business that caters to hot women who love guitar players. "Joe's Salon for Hot Women who Love Guitar Players"

Members baldbloke
Get him to ask his customers which type of shop they were in immediately before entering his shop and where they intend going next. It might reveal a trend. Then again, it might be a load of bollocks.

Members Opa John
A bar, so someone who just bought a guitar could, A) celebrate their newly purchased guitar, or B) drown their sorrows if they have "buyer's remorse", or C) get rip roaring snockered just for the hell of it! Members gitnoob
How about a pawn shop? Buy your guitar one day, pawn it the next. Camping supplies? You need a guitar around the campfire. I like Knock's idea, though. Get the guy horny so he'll learn to play the guitar to get laid.

Members Stackabones
Most git shops usually have lesson studios inside. Next door there should be some kind of loungey/coffee house/snack/pizza thing where parents can stop and have some coffee or whatever while the kid gets lessons (most lessons are for kids, ya know). If he doesn't have lessons in his shop, the space next door should be a studio for lessons. One place around here also has a recording studio in it, which is used by the teachers and local artists.
