  • Well - I went and done it! - NGD

After months of dithering about buying an Epiphone Texan, but finding it difficult to find one - within 300 miless - to try out, one finally came up for sale 15 miles from my home and I went and gone an done it. Bought it from a Luthier (who took it in lieu of money owed from a client), immaculate condition (albeit slightly used - pics to follow shortly), complete with hard case for

I played one at a music store the other day, and I was really impressed. They're super nice guitars, I'm jealous. Let's see some pictures, man!

Congrats and happy new guitar day!

There was a Texan at my local music shop and indeed it is a very nice guitar. It has a real cool vintage vibe to it. It felt and sounded like it would be great for blues fingerpicking. Please show us some pics when you get a chance.

In celebration, here's Wizz Jones playing his Texan.

Well this just goes to show that my mediocrity as a guitarist is exceeded only by my mediocrity as a photographer:

I think I might go after one of these after a while.

Fantastic--and a good deal, sounds like. Play a tune on it for the next VOM, will ya?
