Members ASoRelle
Anyone know if there is a truss rod in the GA6CE model? I'm trying to set this up for a friend of mine and it's got a bit of an underbow in the neck. Being a classical, the truss should be inside (if it has one) but i'm not having much luck finding it. I've found a small round depression behind the first support bracket, but it's facing toward the fretboard, not into the neck. I haven't been able to find a manual or schematics on this model anywhere, but some of the reviews I've read have noted that it has a truss. If anyone knows anything about it, I would appreciate the help. Thanks http://www.ibanez.com/AcousticGuitars/model-GA6CE
Members DeepEnd
Classicals generally don't have adjustable truss rods. You're probably out of luck. Sorry.
Members ASoRelle
yeah that's what i was afraid of, but i did read on a number of occasions that it had one, so i was clinging to that hope.
Members 10ae1203
I've had some setup and fine tuning time with a recent classical guitar purchase. In learning about how to deal with a problem with it, I came across some information that was pretty interesting: When there is no truss rod, or if there is no way to adjust the truss rod, relief can be modified or introduced during the fret leveling. It would sure be handy if there was some sort of Chilton's manual for guitars.
Members Sgt. Rock
If it has a truss rod it will be accessible through the sound hole. You could always call or email Ibanez and ask them.
