List'em. I'm doing some old classic "rock" stuff, like Beatles, CSN, some more soulful older stuff, some stuff done as recently as the end of the last century (doing "Better Man" by Pearl Jam, Creep by Radiohead, etc) Finally a couple things covered by and from Tony Bennet, Harry Belafonte,Ray Charles, Steve Goodman, willie Nelson, etc...

Almost anything will work. We have 2 guitars, vocals and harmonies, and my partner has all kinds of magical boxes to add synth sounds like strings, etc Somehow he plays guitar and bass at the same time through one of those things... Also have a drum machine, don't know if we'll use it or not. I also play a digital acoustic or electric piano occasionally.

looking to do a 3 hour setlist that I can do for the wine crowd and be home by 9:30!

What songs are you guys doing that I can steal?

Some songs that I feel are better with two guitars:

Wish You Were Here

Ventura Highway

For What It's Worth

Also I have found that Mellencamp and Petty songs seem to bridge generations. You just can't go wrong with songs like Mary Janes Last Dance, Freefallin', Pink Houses, and Jack and Diane.

I'm doing or have done a LOT of these. Including Jsamaica Farewell, but that's way to easy for Belafonte. Try Jump in the Line...

Yeh, that'll work, if one of you wears a plaid dress and floats above the stage thumb.gif

These are some of the ones I used to do routinely in a duo. There were many more but memory is what it is. I think we had on averages 3-4 songs per artist. No Dylan. My partner did not appreciate the man for some odd reason. Never told me why, I never asked, either.

Lucky Man - ELP

Norwegian Wood - Beatles

Old Man - N. Young

After The Gold Rush - N. Young

Needle And The Damage Done - N. Young

Leader Of The Band - D. Fogelberg

4 & 20 - S. Stills

Change Partners - S. Stills

Helplessly Hoping - S. Stills

While My Guitar Gently Weeps - G. Harrison

Here Comes The Sun - G. Harrison

Yesterday - P. McCartney

I'm Sorry - J. Denver

Country Roads - J. Denver

Wedding Song (There Is Love) - N. Stookey

John Barleycorn Must Die - Traffic

Sad Lisa - C. Stevens

The Boy With The Moon And Star On His Head - C. Stevens

This Song Has No Title - E. John

Your Song - E. John

Madman Across The Water - E. John

Yellow Brick Road - E. John

The Boxer - P. Simon

America - P. Simon

Cathy's Song - P. Simon

Two Hangmen - M. Proffit

Buffalo - M. Proffit

Vincent - D. McLean

Wounded Bird - G. Nash

That is awesome that you do Mr. Spaceman. There are not a whole lot of set lists with that song. "My tooth paste was smeared, I had flies in my beer." ... classic.

Thanks. When we we just 2 piece, that was one of the tunes I played upright on.

We go straight into it from I've Just Seen a Face. He sings that one and plays the guitar parts. I sing Spaceman and insert and upright solo.

Since we got another bassist/guitarist and a drummer I've been trying to work banjo in on those 2 tunes.
