Members fretplay Posted November 5, 2012 Members Share Posted November 5, 2012 Just bought a Takamine G series 12 String on E Bay but the electrics don't work. Newer G Series Takamines have an integrated saddle/transducer so it pretty much either works or it doesn't (i.e., proper contact with the transducer isn't an issue). In a pinch, I'm pretty sure Takamine (Kaman) sells factory replacement preamps (I know you can get them on eBay) so any qualified tech should be able to get it up and running. For that matter, you should be able to do it yourself. That said, I'd try to simply return the guitar unless the seller specified that the pickup didn't work.
