Last night our coffee house hosted flatpicking ace David Grier. Cost at the door - 3 bucks a head, free refreshments and almost three hours ofDavid played his D28 clone (he said who the builder was but I'm afraid it didn't register) but the real treat was that he played a 1937 D18 (yeah, the grail) that belongs to a local musician. There is a very good reason that prewar Martins are the standard by which others are judged and in Griers hands it was incredible.Life is good Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
