  • Received a Great Compliment

I had a gig on Thursday playing through a house PA that was the smallest Bose unit (L1 Compact?)

Anyway, after the show a lady came up and started talking to me, telling me she enjoyed it, yada yada yada. She started asking about my guitar, which is a Larrivee D-03 with the K&K Pure + Pre Phase, going through the K&K Pure Preamp.

She said my guitar had the richest live acoustic guitar sound she had ever heard!! Can't ever get enough of hearing that. When you spend as much time as me stressing over getting a good acoustic sound, it's nice to have someone notice!

Yep....sure is nice to hear a little compliment and get a little appreciation for your efforts once in awhile, isn't it? Good on you for gettin' some of it Thursday evening. I know how it feels and I'm sure you deserved it.

Oh, BTW, I forgot to mention my ocarina and maracas.</font></div>

Feels good doesn't it? Not that I ever got a compliment on my playing, my black beans and rice have raised a few eyebrows though.Love to try a Larrivee some day.

I always found solo performances to be very difficult for me personally. Any positive feedback really helped make it easier to do it again !! I'm glad you got some to make your gig a little sweeter .....

Hmmm. I always felt like solo performances were the easiest to do because, when I forget the words I can throw in any damned thing that works without wondering what lyrics the other guy is gonna use.

There IS a madness to my methods, Paul.
