Members Defy
I have jsut aquired another Seagull. This is my forth I have a cedar top S6, older S12, mid 2000's Artist and now this one... S (6) CW Blackburst! I bought it because I never saw another seagull like it. She plays nice but needs an adjustment. But I am trying to figure out what type of wood and how old she is? There is no serial number that I can find but I think early to mid 90s? I want to find out how much she is worth before i work on setting her up and fixing some wornout frets (she has been played a lot!). I haven't decided if I am going to keep her as my artist gets most of my attention. Thanks for looking!
Members D Carroll
It's got a solid spruce top, back and sides should be flamed maple, and mahogany neck. Mid 90's sounds about right. Probably worth about &300-$
Members Defy
Cool, thanks.I sent the same question to seagull to see but it's nice to know it's worth putting some money into it. Just needs set up and a fret or two.
Members Defy
Spot on from the Seagull rep: "The S6 CW Blackburst was in production from the mid 80's to the early 90's.It has a solid spruce top, a solid flame maple back, a mahogany neck, and an ebony fingerboard."
