Seems a filmmaker had to shell out $1,500 to use the song "Happy Birthday" in a documentary. This got me thinking, somebody ought to write a new "Happy Birthday" song and assign it to the Public Domain. Since this forum is overflowing with creativity and talent (well, it's overflowing with something, anyway), I thought it would be cool to get various forum members' takes on the theme "Happy Birthday." We could make it the theme of the next VOM or folks could just submit their best effort in a separate thread (or in this one, for that matter). Who's game?
