Can anyone tell me more about this guitar.  Is has a number stamped in on the harmony tag I think 990 and also this number stamped on the internal wood.  It's hard to impossible to find any info on this guitar.

I've owned it for 15 years now.  thanks

The Opus line was one of Harmony's best!

Apparently it is a legendary model in that it was the finest acoustic Harmony ever produced.

While the 1260 was used for the intro to Stairway and widely considered Harmony's "top of the line"

played by many 60's British rockers like Pete Townshend and Jimmy Page...and the 1266 had even more advanced features like dual pick guards, sunburst finish, larger peghead, a pin bridge and better tuners....the Opus was often cited as the true top-of-the line...I think mainly because it was less "cowboy ornate" but still had features like a pin bridge that made it more like a Martin D-18...I believe the Opus was the only Harmony to have x bracing as well.
