Ever heard of 'em? Any experience?

Found a model WN465 in a pawn shop. Near new condition, had a busted pot that I fixed in 10 minutes. Gretsch 6120 (I think) clone. Pretty decently made, toaster tops, Bigsby (real one), plays and sounds really nice. Gave $200 for it. What say ye?

Why?

Brand snobbery mostly. Stadium guitars are made by Shine (http://www.saein.co.kr), a company that also makes some Epiphones. Here's a thread from about 10 years ago: http://www.harmonycentral.com/forum/forum/guitar/acapella-41/1209577-. When I bought my Sakura 12-string acoustic back in the mid 70's nobody had ever heard of them but I took a chance and bought what turned out to be a really sweet guitar. Congratulations and Happy New Guitar Day.

Thanks, good info! This is why I love this place.

But it's not "new", I've had it for most of a year now. IIRC. Bought it to fix and resell, but can't quite talk myself into marketing it!

I've played them. Thought "Typical budget guitar. Next."

I don't disagree---maybe a bit better than "budget", but certainly not a high-quality instrument. For $200 and replace a pot, though, I got something that does a fair Gretsch job for a fraction of the price of the real thing.

Works for me :idk:

Did you mean model WN-645? (Oh, had that in Orig post...) That looks Gretschy. If build & play quality is decent, and with those tuners and Bigsby then why not? I would guess it has some sort of center block as the Bigsby is sort that has top anchor screw which doesn't work so well for full hollow body. Big Q is how are the pickups? Be easy to upgrade from GFS up to TV Jones.... I give ya a thumbs up.

I have a TN Rose and it's a full hollowbody. The Bigsby works great.

One of my fav electrics.

It's not bad, I'd say on a par with some of the better Epiphones.

As far as I can tell, the top is braced like an acoustic. I would guess that the Bigsby is screwed into one. Really ought to get a mirror in there and look.

Emory, I've got so many projects on the bench already that need parts, I'm afraid the Great Pumpkin is gonna hafta wait!

Hello, I have a Stadium 12 string. I will say this, about that. I love it. OK ? I read, somewhere, I forgot where, but I did read that some Epiphones are also made, where they are made, maybe, or something like that. This thing is unreal, to me, actually. , Yes, indeed it is. :) How have you been, also ? Do you still have the Regal resonator thing, now ? :) peace :)

AFAIK it's true. Shine (http://www.saein.co.kr) supposedly also makes Epiphones and some other well known brands in addition to Stadium.
