Members RaVenCAD
Why have I waited so long to try these picks? I'll never buy another type of pick. Ever. Probably.... Phil O'Keefe
Details please! What is it about that pick that you like so much? And are they available in various different gauges? It looks like it has a rubberized grip that might make it easier to hold / less prone to being accidentally dropped - true?
Members Chordite
A kwik googil: https://www.davapick.com/Looks like the nylon derivative. Rubber grip which varies the hardness (attack) depending where you grip it There is a video with "Dava Dave" the inventor but the sound is terrible (the video not the pick)
Members RaVenCAD
The overmolded rubber grip has lines on it that keeps the pick from spinning, plus it makes the grip more solid. The rounded, yet sharp tip makes for very articulate picking. Really, it's tough to quantify "why". Pick one up and you'll understand instantly. Members Grant Harding
Funny how different these things can be. I bought a bag of the red ones of these, but couldn't drive them with my technique (or lack of). I kept catching the rubbery bit and it's like hitting the brakes. They really do stay put and feel solid though. I'll have another go.
Phil O'Keefe
Thanks Raven. Is it pretty stiff?
Phil O'Keefe
To (semi) answer my own question, it appears the relative stiffness depends on where you grip the pick.... https://www.davapick.com/picks (Thanks for the site link Chordite! )
Members DeepEnd
I've been using the basic teal version without the rubberized grip for a few years.
