  • QC: Music Man Steve Morse vs. ESP E-II

I'm selling my Ibanez RG652 Prestige and looking for a new guitar.

After researching and testing I narrowed it down to those two options: Music Man Steve Morse and ESP E-II Horizon

I know there are a lot of differences between those guitars but my main concern is the QC. I've tested used units and I'm not as experienced as a lot of you guys.

I can buy them by similar prices so I want to know which one is expected to have better QC? Which one offers more bang for the buck?

    Thanks!

I'd expect the Musicman to be a significantly better instrument, but you'd have to play both to know what's going to suit you.

I think those are both very nice. Slight edge to MM but not significant enough to care.

I've already played and enjoyed both equally. But while the ESP I tested was new, the Music Man was not in mint conditions ( and it is pretty hard o find around here ).

Used vs new is significant, but if you've played both of the actual guitars then you're in the best position to compare the quality. Doubt you can go wrong unless there's some strange modding etc on MM. Happy playing!

The Used one you could sell for around the price you paid. The new you'll lose 40%-50% of the price you paid.
