Never owned a G&L but have American Fenders which are SAE. Not sure on the sizes you need but you can pick up a whole set of hex keys for under 10 bucks.

If you're near a guitar store they usually have them laying around so you may want to try there too...

Fenders and fender clones are almost always SAE (fractional inches). Most hardware store allen wrench sets will not include the 0.050 for the 4-40 saddle screws - ask for it specifically or buy it at an auto parts store. In fact buy several - they get rounded off. Along with the wrenches, buy a good set of feeler gauges, either a machinists rule or the StewMac action gauge, and this

If you are going to futz around at the nut end a good set of nut files is invaluable

I have about 100 different hex wrenches.

Some fold up and some don't The folding ones are handy, but I like these for truss rod adjustment as you might need the extra length, and even if you don't it's just nice to have it when doing truss rods.

Nice. I'd get em both.

Only the second set includes that little 0.050 wrench that you need for the saddles, but you can buy it separately

Ball end allen wrenches can be nice if you don't have a perfectly straight shot at the head of the screw.

One thing I will caution against is the kind that fold up like a pocket knife. They are handy but I had a guy bring his D28 to me - he had tried to adjust the truss rod thru the sound hole with a folding allen wrench, it slipped and took a great big gouge out of the side of the sound hole.
