Members crustoleum
I did sell one of the Epiphone Casinos I had a few years back . I obtained the guitar for a very fair price , with case. The thing was in an "accident" and lost it's head. The repair that was done , was actually perfect , "came out" great , really. But , the extremely small crack "witness mark" kind of got to me. After the repair , the instrument was structurally perfect again. But , I got a very reasonable offer that I really couldn't refuse... Sad , but my good friend was very happy. Oh yes he was I kind of lamented over that one , for about 5 minutes Presently , I do have 2 Epiphone DR 500 Masterbilt flat things.with a case , also . My man "Eric" the "guitar doctor" said he would do a "fair trade, straight up" for the thing I don't really need 2 of the exact same model guitar, different colors/finishes is ok but the exact same thing well maybe but Id rather , at this point n time , have more "variety" (heck , I really need no guitars , but have some, anyways right ? this is the broken "thing" . He has the exact same one at the shop , in absolute perfect shape , nothing broken , no cracks. I usually do not talk about $$ but this time an exception . The Masterbilt I trade will be the "most played" one . It may have 40 or so , total hours play time. The second one , maybe 10 . The guitar that was at the shop was not new , but a pristine "trade in" The masterbilt with case totaled about $750 new. A thing like what I will re-obtain is $650 .I do believe I will also obtain a few sets of strings and some various plectrums , also . A good friend drove me there (I don't drive, too much) He wanted to check the place out too. (Hey while we were here , we both played a most awesome Washburn 12 string ..thing was like a harp from above ...really he will obtain...tomorrow . The thing was quite wicked , actually Anyhow , I will re-obtain one of these things , tomorrow straight trade. I went there to get more work done on the old Gretsch the "trash barrel" find ... small steps... check out these things what do you think ? I'm pretty elated , I'm getting back to where I once belonged get the reference ? check it out what do you think ? DR 500 with case for a nice "natural Casino and a few "supplys" I'm pretty happy , right now . I know I'll be even more so , tomorrow can you tell I'm kind of well happy ? I believe you may appy
Members crustoleum
I really do love going to his small shop ya GC is cool ...this place is cooler . I also looked at a few of the many things he had hanging up and on stands. The old silvertone "guitar and amp" thing only the guitar not the case/amp thing (which in this instance , I believe the guitar that was there never did have the amp/case thing )> The thing was in absolutely perfect shape Black ric 6 string Gibson flat tops lots of very interesting fine instruments yes I do like going there one of my favorite places , actually. They also sell traditional archery stuff wooden bows quivers , arrows and stuff , for hunting white tail deer in season its out in the "country" , but not too far out "there" 20 minute ride , if that

Members bookumdano4
My first electric guitar was a brand new 1964 Epiphone Casino sunburst... in 1964 of course....with the dark back like you can sometimes still find being made. It got a lot of use on stage and in the studio between 64-66 and got me lots and lots of girls (different story). Essentially though, I hated that guitar and would never buy another one. It was so useless compared to a 335... way too much feedback, way too generic tone that was unusable for me (except in some instances when used with either one of the blue 261 Acoustic guitar amps like the Doors used and sometimes through a 2-15" based Naugahyde Kustom 100 or whatever those things were called). But mostly useless through Marshalls, Vox amps (supremely sucked through Super Beatles, which I had for a while), sucked direct into consoles in the studio, sucked through Epiphone Ensign amps, and basically..... I never liked it much and don't know why I stayed with it for the two years I did. It sat in its case for the next 30 some years after that. Anyway... glad you're getting a guitar you want and returning to something you liked. You'd never get me into a Casino again, unless I decide on a whim to buy a new version of the 65 Casino (again, with the dark back and sunburst front) to just keep in a case in the closet for some sick nostalgic thing. Another thing....as your pic shows...... the E falls off. It's like the line from the Christmas Story movie "you'll shoot your eye out". In the case of all Epiphone casino pickguards on planet earth..... the "E" falls off. And glue never permanently cures that "feature".
Members crustoleum
Hey thanks for the interesting reply I will use it , again , as a sound effects unit(s) thing. I'm (mostly) a pentatonic 12 bar person , easy , kind of. But , I do like effects and making annoying noises with the things. I may play something Beatles , but will mostly use it with my "sound experiments" that I lijke to mess around with ...like "what kind of madly annoying sounds can I get out of these things, today" dig it ? I think you may. Yes , the thing is ok for rock and blues/jazz , but I really liked it for my ":experiments" can't wait , really Here is a crap pic of some of the "noise makers" what do you think ? Members badpenguin
I have an Peerless made Casino that I bought used, pawn shop in Vegas, for 330. You REALLY need to take a breath, and lay off the coffee when you post, since I haven't a clue as to what exactly you are going to end up paying for the Casino.... 750, if I translate it right. I have seen a gold Casino, practically new with plastic on the pickups, for the 500 mark. So good deal? Not to my eyes. But it's yours to do.... Members crustoleum
my other casinos and 335s genesis what can I say , I have no excuse...except I like guitars is that "bad" I'm their caretaker...they need someplace to "exist" , . Might as well be "here" . right ? I don't believe I'll get too much of an argument right ? What do you think ? the ibjl thing is a work of art imho Gibson 335 absolute perfection and the 335 pro things are indescribably fine instruments imho oh yes they are indeed and the red thing my my my great guitars are great oh yes they are imho indeed they are to me
Members crustoleum
I have some "low level" pain meds for my back I do believe they have a bit of caffeine in them , maybe . Is it noticeable ? maybe ? I have always been "exuberant" "here" , even without external things guitars make me that way , I do believe oh yes they do . Have you ever "heard" of a "writing style" named "stream of conscientiousness" ? The book "Ulysses" by James Joyce or someone , was written in that "style". It is the thoughts of a guy , shaving , looking in his mirror. It is 1000 pages long. Parts of it are "dirty" Do all men think "dirty" thoughts while shaving...I do believe , in the sub conscience of the "ID" they do really very "dirrty" indeed hey that's life right ? . I call my style "stream of unconsciousness" ..lol What do you think ?
Members badpenguin
Personally, I find it 's annoying, and that "stream of conscience writing" is jus a fancy way of saying lack of self editing ability. but what the hey, it's just my opinion, you be you. Members crustoleum
I payed 125 for the broken casino and the case , about 5 or 6 years ago , Then I sold it to a friend , about 3 years ago I got 400 for it The fix cost 100 so 225 invested for "it" , total not too bad...maybe. I made 175 I was happy with it . I see they go for 650 or so new and the case is another 100.. so 750 total The masterbilt thing and case is about 750 , new. . I have an empty case or bag that a Casino will fit into . so . I do not think I'll ask the "doc" for a case , this time...maybe What do you think ? Members badpenguin
Like I said before, I don't see it as a good deal, but if it's something you want, my opinion doesn't matter.
Members crustoleum
Maybe I can obtain more than just the Casino . Also , a pedal or 2 . I will certainly ask . Members crustoleum
the "book" is 1000 or so pages. I believe "it" is only 1 "sentence" maybe I have only read parts . the "dirty" parts lol I "think" , maybe , faster than I can type....lol I'll try not to "ramble" and edit , a bit "better" maybe , Let us see what happens thanks for the honest reply
