why are there "chord books" for left handed guitarists?

are there different chord books? *wonders*

for normal right handed chords, a lefty needs to do a mirroring in his head, which became somehow automatic and unconscious to me so i never really cared.

i learned playing guitar with a righty friend and looking at him what he played became automatically mirrored and somehow natural to me.

but after 20+ playing left handed, looking at another lefty player or a lefty guitar still somehow looks weird to me :)

yep, and never the shoulder is in the way, so you could easilysit on the same bench and turn just to each other and everybody can see what the other is playing, and the necks do not get in the way...

for me learning and playing like this was a win-win :)
