Members mbengs1 Posted September 16, 2017 Members Share Posted September 16, 2017 This is the first time for me to buy so many pickups. they include the Tone zone regular spaced, Evolution F spaced, Fred F spaced, Transition (neck), Paf Joe, Paf Pro regular spaced, area 58. area 67, and virtual vintage heavy blues 2. All of them sound pretty darn good. the neck pickups though are hard to tell apart honestly. but there definitely is a difference in character between the transition and pad joe. hehe. Members mbengs1 Posted September 20, 2017 Author Members Share Posted September 20, 2017 Well I like the concealed midrange. it's not an 'in your face' lead players pickup like the tone zone or the fred. but the point is, it is playable and reasonable. it just sounds good for anything. it has enough output to be considered a high output pickup. its just that for instrumental, it might be weak. but the soundman can help in that case.
