A Riddle for Phil (O Keefe that is) NGD

Recommended Posts

I know you hold your Peerless built Casino in high regard Phil, and rightly so.

I had to sell mine sometime back, got more for a 2001 that a brand new MIC with case costs.

Been looking ever since

Tada......I have the answer.

What am I?

I honestly have no idea.... another Casino? :idk:

FWIW, my Peerless-built Casino was also built in 2001. And short of becoming financially destitute, I'll never sell it. The kids can argue over who gets it when I'm gone.

Sorry guys, I'd forgotten what tring to post with photos from a phone was like 😡

I'll try later with a laptop or summat, but yes, two of you rumbled me

Peerless Songbird...talk about Peerless holding out on Gibson/Epiphone.

I expected a Casino clone with a different headstock.

I got an ES-330 with shabby pickups

Nice looking Pearless songbird/ Casino.

If I ever do a Epiphone Casino, I'll probably do one of the Elitist models. I have heard they are very nice.

This years guitar purchase was done in April with a Gibson ES275. So far it's really nice.

Enjoy that new guitar in good health.

That's a gorgeous looking guitar! Congratulations Ratae! :philthumb:

A new 5 ply pickguard and and some Mojo pickups with A3 magnets wound to vintage specs with plastic covers, and I'll be happy.

These pickups are the same as the Epiphone ones, apparently the newer songbirds have flamed bodies and use a lower wind pickup

I've never replaced the pickups in mine - the switch went out and that's been replaced, but otherwise it's all stock. I might consider it someday, but I'd definitely want to hang on to the originals - I've been pretty happy with the sounds I get from them.

Again, what a cool guitar! I'm really happy for you sir! :cool2:
