Yeah no kidding!

 

As a kid born in the 70's and weened on 80's metal, I remember the day I first saw this video,

Sometime in late 89 early 90. Knocked me flat on my ass it was so heavy for the time. To me it was even more angry and heavy than all the thrash I was into like Slayer and Metallica.

 

None of my metal friends my age could make the transition. They just didn't get it. A generation gap occurred right around that time.

 

I went out and bought Louder than Love on CD before I even had a CD player. Still their greatest achievement in my opinion.

 

Saw them several times live.

 

First was at lollapalooza with pearl jam, and the chili peppers. Amazing obviously. And the last was on the down on the upside tour, which was a pretty bad show as you could tell they were just going through the motions before they broke up.

 

Can't say I've followed anything recent. That whole time was so special I just don't want to live in nostalgia for it.

 

Guy could wail like crazy though.
