I think it's interesting to contrast his current, fusion, and early days guitar work.

 

Seems like few guitarists have evolved from the '60s hey days as much as JB.

 

I get a kick out of this tune even though he's not doing the finger tapping part, but I'm sure he could if he wanted to take that bit. It's a high energy tune.

But when I'm watching his early stuff, I'm like "Hey, I could do that!"

Frankly, I became a fan of his after he did "People Get Ready" with Rod Stewart. i just love the tone he got going on that. Soaring lead tones but not harsh. Very cool stuff.

Love his old stuff.

 

Appreciate his evolution. Love it when people do their own things and don't care what others think.

 

But I just can't get into any of his "new" stuff. I'll watch it for a minute or two.....marvel at his talent.....then I get bored.

wow jeff beck speaks well on his guitar. he's no shredder but he can say a lot with less notes. does have other instrumental songs aside from 'cause weve ended as lovers', 'two rivers', 'where were you', and 'becks bolero'?
