Members WRGKMC
Here's something you don't see every day. Fender have produced many double neck guitars over the years as prototypes or as Custom Shop guitars. As far as I am know they have never made a production model. This is a Fender Japan ST-W Stratocaster 12+6 doubleneck, which is being sold as a non-Export Japanese-market only model. Each side of the guitar has its own volume control, but it looks as if they share a single tone control, with the middle position pot where there would normally be a tone control having been replaced with a neck selector switch. The ST-W looks all the better for having the more compact 12-string headstock as featured on the Japanese-made Fender Stratocaster XII and instead of the oversized hockeystick 12-string headstock as seen the (American-made) vintage Fender XII and Custom Shop double necks. The Fender ST-W is listed on the Fender Japan website, priced $3,
Members onelife
Chambered? Just looking at it hurts my shoulders. How is one supposed to try it out in a music store that has banned the playing of Stairway to Heaven?

Members Freeman Keller
I will never own a double necked guitar. Ditto. I was "lucky" enough to work on a double necked Rogue. What a bad idea in so many ways
Members hellion_213
I already turn the volume down or off while playing a strat with my picking hand, a double neck would throw in inadvertently striking strings on the bottom set with my pinky, lol

Members Bucksstudent
Genesis had three guitar players in the band on tour if you include Tony Banks who would sometimes join in on the fun. Mike must have a back of steel, especially for the Rickenbacker bastardized guitar he made. My 620/12 is pretty heavy for such a small guitar.
