Members gardo
Well sort of .... Actually, I've had a pair of speakers laying around for a while and I was bored so I threw something together. The speakers are from a Conn organ ,made by a company called Cletron. They are 8 ohm impedance and have fairly small magnets and rippled paper cones . The size of the cab was determined by the size of the scrap wood I had in the shed. It's all finished in spray on bed liner. Redneck engineering at it's best. I'm actually having some fun with it. I'm using a little 4 ohm solid state guitar amp to drive it and I kind of like it. The speakers break up easily and it has sort of a Fender Bassman vibe to it. Members WRGKMC
Maybe they were oversized or the wrong format. Did you just drag them into the post or did you try and upload them with the picture function?
Members gardo
I really don't know what happened. I used the same camera and computer and did everything the way I always do. I edited and reposted the pics.
Members hellion_213
Looks good man! Bed liner...never thought of that, but I imagine that would hold up to gigging slightly better than tolex

Members gardo
It is pretty heavy but it will only be used at homei made it sturdy to avoid rattles and vidrations. Just a fun experiment
Members DeepEnd
Cool. Happy New Cab Day. I always wanted to build a speaker cab but sadly my carpentry skills are wanting. It might be fun to find the codes on the speakers and see who made them: http://www.tedweber.com/speaker-codes-application/.

Members gardo
One of the speakers has the label attached. It says CONN Custom Speaker by Cletron I found them on CLThe price started dropping and when it hit $10 for the pair I had to grab them . This is whatI know about them https://reverb.com/item/998425-cletron-12-conn-custom-speaker-1950s
Members gardo
It should hold up pretty well but the big benefit is the easy of installation . It really has strong fumes so use caution if you ever try it.
