Members RaVenCAD
Well boys, I pulled the trigger on a gorgeous 2013 Gibson Les Paul Signature T gold series today. I'll type more later, but right now I got strings to rock. Here's a couple pics... Does not remotely do this guitar justice. The flame is amazing. Members RaVenCAD
I couldn't' remember who suggested the Signature T in my thread. Now I do. Post yours?

Members RaVenCAD
I spent the last two hours losing myself in this thing. It's a phenomenal creation. The flame is ridiculous. It's so wide and tubular it looks more like quilt. The '57 Classic pups are delicious. The setup is practically perfect for me. Gottta get some Elixirs and straplocks for it though. Looks like a 1 piece back as well. I've looked and I can't find any seams on it.
Members kherman
Mine is a one piece back as well. I also, put Schaller strap locks on. I plan on changing the truss cover to a blank one.
Members RaVenCAD
Mine came with the blank TRC already installed and the "T" in the case. Why Gibson ever thought that "T" was a nice aesthetic is beyond me.. I've been reading and apparently the gold hardware option is sort of a rarity. Any information on that? Members kherman
Not really sure how rare it is. I usually see a couple of gold hardware ones on Ebay when I look. Normally with the Min-E-Tune system.Mine came with the Grover locking tuners.
Members RaVenCAD
Locking Grovers here as well. I've got Sperzel lockers on my Carvin CT4 and these seem to be much better. The lock knob doesn't draw blood when you touch it, amazing... Glad Carvin switched to something other than Sperzel.
Members kherman
Yep, my Carvins have the Sperzels as well. Nice for their time. But, Grover, Gotoh, Planet Waves are just all around better. They're smoother and have better gear ratios.
Members DeepEnd
Sweet. Congratulations and Happy New Guitar Day. I see neither you nor kherman got stuck with those butt ugly pus green tuners you usually associate with LPs.
Members kherman
Sweet. Congratulations and Happy New Guitar Day. I see neither you nor kherman got stuck with those butt ugly pus green tuners you usually associate with LPs. that's because these are Grover locking tuners and not Kluson deluxe vintage tuners. Members DeepEnd
I'm aware of that, thanks. I simply wanted to mention that I like them better than the Klusons. However, it's clear at this point that you don't much care what I like or what I think of your guitar. Fair enough.
Members RaVenCAD
You got all that from his reply about what kind of tuners they were? Wow..
Members wankdeplank
Sweet. Congratulations and Happy New Guitar Day. I see neither you nor kherman got stuck with those butt ugly pus green tuners you usually associate with LPs. Funny how they are so associated with Gibson LPs that some folks wouldn't even consider an LP without them. I personally think they are inferior tuners and heard and seen many complaints about tuning instability as well as mechanical failure. I know that there are many on this board that consider this heresy and defend their holy tulips to the hilt, but that's just my opinion. Like you I guess they look cheap to me anyway. Never sorry I ran a used one down that had stock Grovers. Beautiful guitar Raven. Sounds like a holy grail with the one piece back and all (rarer nowadays it seems). Congrats and enyoy. Members kherman
I was actually agreeing with you, DeepEnd. I too prefer these to the Klusons. Thus the smilie. Peace Bro.

Members RaVenCAD
The other photos don't do the flame justice. It's wide and tubular. So gorgeous.
Members RaVenCAD
I was thiiiiiiiiiis close to buying exactly what you suggested. A 2008 standard with an asymmetrical neck. If it hadn't been almost clownburst, I'd own it.
Moderators Ratae Corieltauvorum Posted February 8, 2016 Moderators Share Posted February 8, 2016 Clownburst....the archetypal dealbreaker, shame, but you still got a bloody sweet Paul...I on the other hand appear to be on target to become a lawyer or dentist:-|

Members RaVenCAD
This isn't my first Les Paul. A few years back I had a Joe Bonamassa Studio gold top. Nice guitar, but it didn't do much for me. I also had an Epiphone Les Paul Classic a while back. Beautiful guitar, but no mojo at all..
