Members mbengs1
I'm looking to buy a seven string in the future. My first choice is a Ibanez UV71p or UV70p universe. but i don't think i need something that's too expensive. a cheaper one would suffice. something like an RG7421. but what are 7 strings would you recommened? Members badpenguin
Obviously, I am going to suggest an Ibanez. Save your pennies, and start with a GIO 7 stringer. Maybe this one won't electronically break, and you won't ignore people asking what ever happened with your JEM and it's electrical issues.

I'm quite decided on the RG7421. it's the cheapest RG 7 string on sweetwater.

Members badpenguin
08-17-2015, 02:15 AM my ibanez RG recently lost bass response. what could have caused this? is it the pots? selector switch? output jack? the guitar doesnt sound as it should. my mistake, it was the RG. So what was wrong with it?
Members mbengs1
I got the RG back two weeks ago. The guitar tech didnt say what was wrong with it. i guess he just did a complete rewire of the guitar or something. but he did it for free so i guess it wasn't anything major. the RG sounds better now. sounds like it has more of every frequency, bass, mid and treble. Why come asking questions and within hours, declare that you have quite decided what you are going to buy. You're very close to a temporary ban for some trumped up reqson
