Members burton4snow
I bought a Squier Tele off eBay for cheap and I am going to do my first pickup install on it (bought it to learn some guitar repair and modding). It has a humbucker size in the bridge and a single coil size in neck. I am probable just going to hook up a Humbucker and leave the single coil dead unless someone can recommend a cheap good Tele neck pickup. I play Blues to hard rock mostly in the middle of those two. The Two I have been looking at are the Tonerider AC4 and the Stew mac Golden Age Overwound. Love to hear your opinions and recommendations. Members gardo
Not sure what you consider cheap. This is what I use because the neck pickup is my favorite and I don't like hum Saw some new on ebay for $50, used would be even better
Members thatsbunk
I prefer tele's with single at the bridge & a neck humbucker. Be that as it may if you are looking to stay on a budget I've used a few GFS pickups in the past & have never been disappointed with them... Members Floyd Rosenbomb
Yeah, Rose is a cool option. Just a guy who has a passion for making pickups at a fair price. Hard to not like that.

Phil O'Keefe
These. http://www.wildepickups.com/Wilde_Bill_s_Keystones.html I've got a set of the Bill Lawrence-designed Fender SCN (Samarium Cobalt Noiseless) pickups in my Tele, and I've been pretty happy with them. Members AJ6stringsting
If you're after a 60's / Classic Rock humbucker type guitar sound get a pickup that is 7k ohms to 9k ohms.70's Classic Rock/ Hard Rock , 8k ohms to 12.50k ohmsMy favorites are the Dimarzio Super Distortion, ( mid 70's to 1984) Bill Lawrence L-250's, L-500, XL-500's.
