Members Etienne Rambert
An Indonesian-made Fender Telecaster, Bird's-eye Maple. I curse myself for not buying it on the spot. Good price too. Now it's gone, gone, gone.

Members Chordite
Yeah Floyd that one certainly looked unique It was the chance of a life time and just that one extra dollar could have made it yours Auction psychology is a wonderful thing. For many years I made a living from (real) auctions. The hardest thing as a pro is that you know what things are worth and very often you will be outbid by collectors who do not need to factor in a margin. With ebay everyone and their dog is viewing, real bargains are rare (usually hidden in job lots) whereas at a real 'non specialist' auction you may be the only person in the room that knows what something is worth. (That's how I got my Les Paul Standard for £18 ) Try looking out your local auction houses and go along, they are entertaining even if you don't bid. I don't know if you guys get Quest TV but there is a great series called "Baggage Battles" which follows four people who attend lost property and police auctions around the world. Great fun. Merry Xmas
