Members jdc5294
Came home for 2 weeks from the Army a couple days ago, and this was waiting for me in our house. 1968 ES-335, converted to a stop tailpiece from a trapeze. 100% my dream I'll-never-need-another guitar. Scratched and beat up, just the way I like it (and probably the only way my family could afford it). A couple things aren't stock (tuners, knobs) but the pups are. Still processing that this thing is in my house. First night I had it I took it out and it sounded fantastic through a crappy old Crate solid state. Later I had it through my '66 Bassman 50 and it was insane. So happy. My Christmas and birthday presents are taken care of for about the next 200 years, and I'm fine with it. Only thing I did to it was I took off the pick guard, never liked the way it looked.

Members wankdeplank
Big congrats on your amazing vintage 335 JDC. That thing is just gorgeous. I scored my first 335 style guitar earlier this year and then wondered how I'd waited so long. You're obviously worth that vintage beauty but do yourself a favor and get an MIM Strat or something for knocking around with (I'd almost be afraid to take that one out of the house). Members jdc5294
Thanks all. I have an early 2000s MIA strat that I've owned for about 7 years, that's been my workhorse and I'll still use it. I've never been comfortable owning a guitar and not taking it out to gig with, don't know if I can accurately verbalize why. I can tell you even though this one is so new it'll probably become my favorite though.
