Members Chordite
OK I know it's a bass, but some of us play both and I thought this was pretty hi tech as Westones go. I particularly liked the movable pickup.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Westone-Th...item3a95aca6b7 and a vid[video=youtube_share;_R5jXlwoh4g]http://youtu.be/_R5jXlwoh4g
Members DeepEnd
Definitely interesting. I'd like to see a guitar made that way. Materials science has come a ways since it was made. Maybe the rails could be carbon fiber or something? It would make for a very lightweight instrument.

Members mrbrown49
Love the moving pup idea. I'd love to try that with too single coils in a guitar. Quack adjustment?

I in fact made one myself back in the 70's on one of my builds. It was a bit rugged looking. I remember using coat hangers as pickup tracks and it looked pretty awful but its did work. If someone comes up with the idea you can be sure others have tried it too. I'm not sure how far back the idea goes but I didn't have any access to internet when I was in high school and made one. I hadn't seen one before but they may have existed. I have seen several versions on the net in the past 10 years or so but they did have wood tops with grooves cut and the wiring is all hidden inside under the top. They didn't look like a foot crutch like this one but the metal tubes are a cool idea. I'd be curious to hear how they sound.
